At Laundry Freedom we have been making our own detergent for years and it has not only done wonders for the clothes but has also been a huge money saver! My Grandfather, Richard Hooper passed on to be with the Lord last night. He was a Veteran that served his country, a Christian that served our Lord, a father, grandfather and great grandfather that served his family. He impacted and changed the lives of tens of thousands through his ministry and his travels.

He will be greatly missed and there will be a much anticipated reunion with him and others passed when we all go to be with the Lord!

We are in the process of planning the funeral and will update everyone as it unfolds. As with any funeral, there are costs that are substantial. Over 15,000 fires start each year that are related to running the clothes dryer! These fires have resulted in over 19 deaths. Don’t let this happen to you! Here are a few steps that you can take to prevent dryer fire:

1. Clean out the lint trap EVERY time you use the dryer.

2. Check to make sure the dryer vent that exits the home is free from debris and is clear of lint.

3. Clean behind the dryer where lint can build up.

4. Change the aluminum foil, accordion type dryer vents to the metal rigid duct.

5. If your clothes have volatile chemicals on them (cooking oil, gasoline, cleaning agents, varnishes or stains) consider washing them twice and/or hang drying them.

Keep and eye out for these things and prevent costly damages and possibly death. If you don’t want to risk it, hire someone to pickup your clothes and wash them. Let them take on the risk! Live in Tarrant County? Laundry Freedom is here to service you!
